Last weekend, we spent a whole day cleaning up our laboratory as well as reconfiguring the tables and seats. Although it is labor-consuming and time-costing work, it is worthwhile spending one day to get a comfortable and clean environment for research.
The member in the laboratory holds the cleaning preparation this time. In addition, to haven’t cleaned the laboratory for a long time and having too many things that needed to abandon, she helped us design a work procedure to make all things under arrangement, and gathered members in the lab to make sure things could be done in one day.
We first classify things that need to retain or discarded, like the network wires and the mouses. During that time, we also found some surprising items left by the graduated members. For instance, a photographic card got from the conference of Interspeech 2016, a souvenir from Sweden bought during participating in a conference there. It was fun to find so many things in the hard work.
In addition, we tried sorting out the network wires in usage, but we gave up having no idea to deal with them because of being too intricate. We decide to arrange them for next month when resetting the server area.
Finally, we succeeded in getting all things done as we expected. All the seats and tables were rearranged, and the laboratory was cleaned up. There are still some things that need to be organized in the next few months, like buying new equipment and scrapping some computers. Hope every member can enjoy studying in this new, cozy laboratory.
